Rage Against The Machine’s bombastic style of rap and metal hit us like a fistful of steel in the 90s. Their revolutionary message invited us to wake up and take the power back, while their innovative riffs and funky beats made us testify! Rage Against the Machine inspired people across the world to fight for what they believe in and speak truth to power. In these politically charged times, we miss their voice more than ever.

Bungalow Entertainment is excited to present Guerilla Radio: A Tribute to Rage Against the Machine. A group of artists and non-profits from across Florida will come together at Crowbar in Ybor City on Saturday, June 22nd to pay tribute to the renegades of funk. The night will begin with sets by Bangarang and Tropico Blvd, and culminate in a collaborative musical tribute to Rage Against the Machine.

Our Tribute Cast Includes: Justino Lee Walker- Guitarist of The Difference & The Hip Abduction Jon Ditty- Solo Emcee artist Vinny Svoboda- Bassist of Displace & CajMal Michael Garrie- Drummer of "Antelope" Noah Prescott- Singer & bass player of Space Coast Ghosts Christopher Joel Pack- Singer of Twisty Chris and the Puddin' Packs & drummer of "Green Jelly" & Nerds Raging Cess Colindres- Singer of Feature Ink & Emcee for "Universel" Senyo Fugar- Singer and beatboxer of "Bangarang"

Bangarang-ignites crowds with a blend of hip-hop beats and trippy guitar riffs. Their influences span from psychedelic sounds to spoken word, and their sound encompasses everything that has helped form them into the musicians they have become.

Tropico Blvd-Combining roots rock, Latin rhythms with searing guitars; heavy hitting grooves and hypnotic harmonies, Tropico Blvd balances intricate fusion & alternative pop-rock with their brand of catchy songwriting and improvisational jams.

In keeping with Rage Against the Machine’s socially conscious message, a collection of local non-profits will be represented alongside the nights musical performances:

Tampa Food Not Bombs: are a solidarity based, anti-militarist movement fighting staggering food waste in this country while millions go hungry. They serve vegan and vegetarian meals twice a week downtown rain or shine. TFNB are committed to chapter autonomy, horizontal and consensus based processes. They center the voices of the communities most affected by apathy, misappropriation and anti-homeless acts of hate and discrimination.

Feeding Tampa Bay: is part of the national Feeding America network, focuses on providing food to the hundreds of thousands of food insecure families in the 10-county area of West Central Florida.They change lives one meal at a time by leading our community in the fight against hunger.

Current Initiatives: is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization incorporated in Florida that started with young adults committed to educating others on current social initiatives and mobilizing them to bring about change. Current Initiatives establishes community groups for awareness and education. They organize local initiatives such as; the Laundry Project, Hope For Homes Project and Affordable Christmas.

The Laundry Project: assists low-income families with meeting a basic need – washing clothes and linens, by turning laundromats into community centers of hope. Laundry fees are paid for while volunteers assist with laundry services, entertain children, and create a caring space at the laundromat.

Mezoculture: sells handmade fair trade goods created by artisans around the world. They offer hand-crafted purses, jewelry, home goods, wood work, wearables, accessories and more. Everything is one of a kind and represents the region where it comes from. Their motto is “Unity through Global Exchange” and they strive to bring a global experience in their booth display and send their consumers home with a piece of culture to enrich their lives. In order to give back, they also donate 10% of their profit to the fight against hunger, poverty and social injustice.

Tampa Bay DSA / Tampa Bay Democratic Socialists Of America: is an official chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America. They believe that both the economy and society should be run democratically to meet human needs, not to make profits for a few. They are a political and activist organization, not a party. DSA members use a variety of tactics, from legislative to direct action, to fight for reforms that empower working people.
